September Student Shout-Outs: Celebrating the Students Who Make MCCA Shine

At Mountain City Creative Academy, we believe there is so much more to celebrate than what happens on a stage.

Every week, our teachers get to see students work through challenges, gain confidence, encourage their classmates, discover new skills, and become a little more comfortable being themselves. That is what makes our Student Shout-Outs so special.

Each month, our instructors choose students who have stood out in their classes for their hard work, growth, creativity, kindness, determination, or simply the unique energy they bring into the room.

September gave us four wonderful reasons to celebrate. 💛

🌟 Annie Kat

Ms. Jessica chose Annie Kat for September’s Student Shout-Out because of the incredible growth she has made over the past two years.

After teaching Annie Kat in Mini M.E. and Mini M.E. Into, Ms. Jessica has had the joy of watching her grow into a more confident, independent, and brave young performer.

This year, Annie Kat took on two new challenges: Ballet/Tap 1 and Broadway Mini. Even more impressively, she took both classes back-to-back, all on her own.

Watching her step into those new experiences with confidence has been incredibly special, and her growth is something worth celebrating.

Keep shining, Annie Kat! ✨

🌟 Cecelia Beeman
Student Shout Out Mountain City Creative Academy

Miss Shelby chose Cecelia Beeman because she brings so much joy and creativity into Accelerated Musical Theatre each week.

Whether she’s warming up, tackling a solo audition, learning a dance combination, or working through music rehearsal, Cece has a way of bringing her whole self into whatever she’s doing.

Her creativity and talent are matched by her kindness. She’s a great friend to the other students in class and brings a wonderful energy into the room.

We love watching you create, Cecelia. Keep making magic! 💫

🌟 Brady Roque

Ms. Kelly chose Brady Roque for his dedication, his personality, and the work he’s putting into developing his musical skills.

Brady comes to his piano lessons having practiced at home and continues to put in the work between lessons. Over the past seven months, Ms. Kelly has watched his music reading and musical counting skills improve dramatically.

And, of course, there is never a shortage of things for Brady to talk about! From history and games to Marvel movies and everything he’s learned along the way, he brings plenty of personality into his lessons, too. 😂

We’re proud of the determination Brady is showing as he continues to hone his musical talent!

🌟 Emily

Ms. Liz chose Emily because of the incredible energy and effort she brings to Accelerated Musical Theatre.

Emily works hard, gives 100% every time she walks into the room, and brings a little extra sparkle wherever she goes. ✨

But what makes her shout-out even more special is the way she treats the people around her. Emily is kind, encouraging, and supportive of her classmates, helping create the kind of environment where everyone can feel comfortable growing and learning.

That combination of hard work, talent, and kindness is something worth celebrating.

Go, Emily! 🎉

More Than a Shout-Out

These four students are just a small snapshot of what happens in our classrooms every week.

At MCCA, growth doesn’t always look like mastering a difficult combination or nailing a solo. Sometimes it looks like walking into a new class by yourself. Sometimes it’s practicing at home. Sometimes it’s encouraging a friend. Sometimes it’s simply finding the confidence to try something that feels a little scary.

Those moments matter.

We are incredibly proud of Annie Kat, Cecelia, Brady, and Emily, and we’re grateful to have teachers who take the time to notice and celebrate those moments.

Here’s to all of our students who are learning, growing, creating, and finding their own way to shine. 💛
